MODERATOR: Hey guys, the cast will be here in about 10 minutes! Get your questions ready! MODERATOR: Remember, when you submit questions they are sent to me, the MODERATOR first. From Kirsten and Gabby: From the cast of Bring It On, we'd just like to say, What's up! IwantToact: I can't wait to see Bring It On, did you like making the movie? Gabrielle: Yeah, we had a blast. Learning the dances and routines was challenging, but we had so much fun. Everyone was really cool and talented. We were happy to go to work! Kirsten: We shot in La Hoya, and it was gorgeous. It was like going to summer camp everyday. It was such an easy shoot. Everybody's energy was good -- we fed off each other. hjnyc: Did you guys have any previous cheerleading experience before the movie? Gabrielle: Kirsten and I were both cheerleaders in 8th grade. It was more of a social thing. Kirsten: In this movie it's more of a sport. Stoneflwrl: Kirsten, I heard you like to sing. Are you going to put out a CD, or do a musical or something in the future? Kirsten: I did a movie called Getting Over Allison, and I sing a really beautiful song in that movie. It should be out in January. Lifeluvr15: Gabrielle, I know you were in 10 Things I Hate About You and She's All That. Why did you choose to do another teen movie like Bring It On? Gabrielle: Basically, the character was so different in 10 Things -- she was such a catty beeyatch. In She's All That I was the conscience. In Bring it On, I'm a leader. She's a strong character and that's what I was drawn to. This will actually be my last teen role. hjnyc Kirsten, is Josh as much of a hottie in person as he is onscreen? Kirsten: Um, OK, of course Josh is beautiful, but I don't want to give him a big head. You gotta go for personality not just looks -- that's what I've learned. Motitan: What was the best part about making this movie? Gabrielle: The best part for me was the friendships I made. Usually there's someone who gets on your nerves, but with this one, we all hung out. Kirsten: Big BBQs at my house! hulahula: When's the film coming out in the UK? Kirsten: October probably. winbale: Kirsten, who was your favorite actor to work with? And who do you hope to work with? Kirsten: I don't have a favorite -- I have a different experience with everyone I work with. Johnny Depp and Sean Penn, Michelle Pfeiffer. Maybe one day, I'd love to play her daughter. Lboogie: Gabrielle, what was it like working on Love and Basketball? Is Omar Epps as hot in person? Gabrielle: He is a good-looking guy. He was cocky. It can be attractive. I'm more attracted to men like my own fiancé. I just finished a film with Morris Chestnut and Shemar Moore -- those two are lookers. Angelsinone: Gabrielle, do you think cheerleading is a good thing or a bad thing in the way women are treated as pretty things to look at? Gabrielle: It depends on the cheerleader. The kind we were in 8th grade, I don't think it says a lot about women's empowerment. With this movie, they're true athletes. SaRa00: Gabrielle and Kirsten: Who were your role models and inspirations when you were growing up? Kirsten: For me, my role model is my mom because I'm so close with my mother. I learned so much from her (and a lot of her friends). They're the women who've influenced me. Acting-wise: Meryl Streep, Uma Thurman, Michelle Pfeiffer. Gabrielle: The women I looked up to -- Diana Ross, I truly wanted to be Diana Ross. And then as I got older I began to admire women who are well rounded. Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou. Those are the women I look up to the most aside from my mother and my sisters. roxygrl00: For the both of you, what was it like to work with Blaque? Are they as good of actors as they are singers? Gabrielle: I think their passion is music, but I think they did a good job with the film. KirstenDunstFan: This question is for Kirsten. Kiki, I heard on TRL yesterday that you went to cheerleader camp to prepare you for this role. What did you think about cheerleading before camp as opposed to after camp? Thanks. Kirsten: After camp I went to camp in 8th grade. I had so much fun. I love working out. I felt so healthy. I was having fun with the girls. It was like a break for me. I just loved it. Eliza: Hey everybody. What's up? Jesse: East Coast represent! CaMbOgurL: Eliza, how does it feel to back on the big screen again and was it fun being a cheerleader instead of a slayer? Eliza: It's a lot of fun. It's different. As much as I love Faith, film and TV are very different. I love being able to inhabit a role for three months. I love the change of things -- not sticking to one. Maxie: Jesse, have you ever dated a cheerleader in real life? Jesse: Yes. Two. Not at the same time. Kay: Hey Eliza! So great you are here. I am a big fan of yours. You said you always played older characters than you were, and that you can do that now too. Does that mean you are not gonna be in another teen movie? Eliza: No, not at all -- I'm glad I'm here, too. In Bring It On, I'm playing my age. I'm still a teenager -- I should do teen movies. 2cool: Jesse, did you bond with Angelina when you filmed Hackers? What do you think of all the tabloid talk about her? Jesse: I like Angelina, and I liked her back then, too. But she was too busy bonding with Jonny Lee Miller. I think she's a really good actress. Tabloids? Who cares? BuffyRileySlayTA: Eliza, how would you say your character in Bring It On is different from that of Faith on Buffy? I assume the cheerleader isn't part of a mass plot to kill the entire Senior class...:-) Eliza: She doesn't trying to kill anyone. She's more sane than Faith. They're very different. They aren't any similarities, except they're outspoken, strong female characters. Lifeluvr15: Jesse, I loved you in Romeo and Juliet, how was it different doing a comedy as opposed to a tragedy? Jesse: Thanks! Comedy is a lot harder. A lot of people say that, but it boils down to so many things besides being real. It's timing and emphasis on the right words. Motitan: Eliza, hi, just wanted to say that you're really cool. Which role of all the roles that you've played did you like the most? Eliza: Um, hi. Thanks for being a fan. That's hard. Each role just gives me something different -- I can't pick a fave. I love them all as a person. I couldn't really call a favorite. mnina: Jesse, were you nervous to make out with Kirstin in the movie? Jesse: Hell no! Jesse: We had a pretty good time. It was fun. It's different from real-life. hey_girls: Jesse, what made you want to start acting? Jesse: My parents made me! Jesse: I decided to continue. It's a really honest form of artistic expression. It's a great job. It always felt like an adventure. Meeting new people, traveling. It seems like the best job I can have. ED1_faith: Eliza, did you have any cheerleading experience when making the movie? Lol. Eliza: None! Eliza: It probably wouldn't have helped. To learn something completely new. Do everything once. It was a lot of fun. We had the best teachers. I hope they see the work that went into it. Kay: Jesse, what did you like the best about being in Bring It On? Jesse: Three hundred cheerleaders. Surrounded by them everyday. That's a good thing. And the cast - Eliza, especially. 9mm_Chick: Eliza, how tall are you? (Everyone on the net wants to know.) Eliza: I'm 5'9" - OK, fine 5'8 1/2". OK, really I'm at a lovely medium, that's all I'll say. Eliza: I'm taller than Jesse! janson: After making this film have you found a new respect for cheerleading? Eliza: Yes! Everyone who was involved came out with that. In my high school, it wasn't as extensive as it is in the movie, but there are athletic and talented squads out there. It really is a sport, and it takes so many things to be a cheerleader. LaurenG: Jesse, do you really go to Columbia? Do you like it there? Jesse: Yep! It's fun. It's a lot of hard work. Jesse: I'm studying film. Being in Manhattan is amazing. It's just really hard, and I'm looking forward to finishing. I don't really feel like being a student anymore. Moti: To both Eliza and Jesse, who are your favourite actors and what are your favourite movies? Jesse: Peter Sellers. My favorite movie with him is Dr. Strangelove. Being There is also impressive and the Pink Panther movies. My favorite movie is Five Easy Pieces. Eliza: One of them De Niro -- he's amazing. My fave movie is Pretty Woman! MODERATOR: Looks like times up! Thanks for coming everyone. And thanks to the cast of Bring It On for chatting with us! Eliza: Thank you and goodbye to everybody! Enjoy the movie!
