Soul Survivors Reworked: Bring it On vixen Eliza Dushku (Buffy's evil slayer) and Casey Affleck both have described their upcoming thriller Soul Survivors (also starring Wes Bentley and Luke Wilson) as similar in mood to Jacob's Ladder, one of my favorite creepy rides at the cinema. Early word suggests the twisted psychological mind bender/love story, which traps a college coed in that netherworld between life and death after a nasty car crash, really got under the skin. With a new editor on board, however, the film has now become a straight-up horror movie with blood, guts and frights. A source who got a sneak peek at a rough cut calls it "sh*&-a$$ scary."
